CIVIL CIVIC have announced their second album, THE TEST, will be released on Gross Domestic Product on October 14th. Watch their video for THE HUNT below, where the duo raise questions on the current inequality crisis, the New World Order and capitalism in an historical context.
“The poor are angry, the rich are empty and paranoid, so the poor riot, and the rich celebrate themselves. It’s too much for any sane mind. It’s also about forgetting that stuff and conjuring insane images in your head, going wherever you want in the whole inner universe.”
The new album, THE TEST is a sound mirror held up to the soul, reflecting back both the beauty and ugliness. It is, CIVIL CIVIC say, “an emotional rollercoaster, with all the teeth-grinding joy and unbridled fear that can be experienced by a self-aware lump of meat flying through space.” It is, they elaborate, “systematic dance inquiry into the epicentre of the human psyche.”
